Di Carlo: "Positivi i nuovi, dai lunghi cose importanti"

Le parole di coach Gennaro Di Carlo dopo la sconfitta con la Germani Brescia nella prima gara del Torneo Sant’Ambrogio: “E’ stata una buona partita di basket, per noi era molto importante confrontarci di nuovo contro una formazione del nostro livello. Partita dal doppio volto: penso che nei primi due quarti abbiamo fatto una prestazione qualitativamente molto buona sia in attacco che in difesa, nella ripresa le palle perse hanno condizionato la nostra fluidità e questo ha inciso sulla fiducia. Bisogna lavorare sull’aspetto della personalità, ma tutto sommato volevamo verificare l’innesto dei nuovi Atsur e Ikovlev e credo che da questo punto di vista torniamo a casa con indicazioni molto positive. Il pacchetto lunghi continua a dare garanzie molto importanti, negli esterni dobbiamo ‘darci una mossa’, registreremo qualcosa lì e penso che saremo pronti”.

I think that we did a very good job in the first half in both sides of the court, while we had too many turnovers in the second half and it took down our confidence. We must work on this, on the personality of our players, but we wanted to see our newcomers Atsur and Ikovlev for the first time with us and I think we had some very good feelings. Our frontline is doing good, we have to improve on the backcourt where we have something to settle, then we’ll be ready“.
